Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I would like to start them half way up on each side of the overflow. Superglue?
Hmm... Not sure I would go that route because it would be permanent, but it should work.

Will bone cutters work to remove the stem from a frag plug?
I use 2 pliers to do it. Grab the disc in one, the stem in the other. Give it a twist and the stem normally breaks off fairly cleanly. If you have big enough bone cutters they will likely work. I used to use linemans pliers before I figured out the twist trick.

Thanks Brew. I have really small hands and sometimes have a hard time. I will try the twist. It's for my monti.

Just put a plug of it up against whatever you want it to grow onto and it will. Of course, if you get it against something you don't want it to grow on, it will grow there even faster.:p
GSP always grows in the direction you don't want it to. ;Facepalm

I hold the disk and snip the stem with bone cutters... it does take quite a bit of effort to cut thru. It usually turns into a high velocity projectile that I have to go hunting later. Or forget about gluing frags, and find some unspecified amount of time later.

I may try the twist and snap method...

I'm sure it works better on some brands than others, but it has worked great on the ones I've gotten from Battlecorals and AquaSD

Look who has gotten comfortable with being in the open.
