If I still had them I'd be able to send you some slings (spider-lings, babies). Unfortunately where I live now is ant central.. Come summer the ants would eat all my pets if I tried to keep them here!

nice p. metallica @sfin52 I was in the hobby when I was a kid, when those were first discovered they were like $800 spiders, and they were still being wild caught.
That's one thing that's good about the tarantula hobby... Once there have been a bunch collected, it quickly becomes a breeding thing, and you no longer get wild ones and prices collapse.
At one point the P. Metallica was probably the poster child for unsustainable animal collection. They're arboreal T's that live in the canopy of trees. Their coloring mimics a blue sky, basically a small view through the forest canopy.
When first discovered, the only way to harvest them was to cut down trees and search them for these tarantulas.
Now, they're all bred. No more deforestation just for these guys.

Or working in a hospital. My brother is the new guy at the hospital, less than a year at his job. Guess who draws short straw graveyard xmas shift guaranteed? Same guy who draws all the graveyard holidays shifts lol.

Beautiful, Rakie. Never had spider. I am highly allergic to them. I have had all kinds of snakes, lizards, mammals, etc. I had an apartment once that scared people too.

I also have to work in our Holidays , we have 2 major holidays every year. one of them includes millions of pilgrims going to Makkah, I work in ministry of health so for the last 7 years I have been going to work in a hospital there during the holiday.

There are always bugs to kill will be working Monday. But it's to a department store with a 16,000 gallon SW tank. With 2 5,000gal sumps. It's impressive.
