I've had my nose operated on twice because it was disjointed by a few people who thought it needed some adjusting. I lied to the surgeon about my drinking and drug use for the first operation. I woke up and he was chiseling away. I asked him how much longer this was going to take and started laughing. He totally freaked and started asking the anesthesiologist why I was awake. I learned from this not to lie to my doctor. They made what were supposed to be the appropriate adjustments for my second operation. I still woke up.
I had my lower wisdom teeth taken out when I was 18. They left the uppers because they were in all the way and were not problematic. When I was 36 my dentist suggested I have the upper wisdom teeth taken out because of the severe cavities that were developing since it was nearly impossible to brush all the way behind them. For the removal, I opted to have them removed without any pain meds, at all. It hurt and the sounds that echoed through my head of the cracking and crunching are etched upon my memory. I still have those wisdom teeth and, if I remember, will post pics of them.
