I was not on, at all, yesterday.

It was a very sad day. We had to put our Bella down and I'm still broken up about it. I had found her 13 years ago living under a van. At that time, the vet said she was probably about 4 or 5 years old. Bella went through some of the worst times of my life with me and was everything I could hope for in a best friend. I will miss her terribly.
Here are a couple pictures of my Bella. The first one is from 5 years ago and the second one is a couple of years ago before she lost her eyesight.

@crusso1993 You know how badly I feel about this. Keep an eye on the other two. My two went through some very odd separation issues after we had to put maggie down.

They will need a lot more attention.

Thank you all so much. It really means a lot to me to have your support and it is truly appreciated.

As @dantimdad mentioned, we still have our other 3, not 2, dogs and we will be loving up on them, as per usual. (I only sent you the pics of 2 (Itty Bityy and Luna) of the other 3 dogs because Molly was upstairs))

Its hard to lose a loyal friend. And dogs are as loyal as they come. I'm sorry @crusso1993 thats a hard thing to do.

Only a few months removed from this same heartache. I understand. Just not fair that they cannot stay with us longer than they do. Just hug up on the others, as you will all need some extra love for a while.

@Fin - I did not know it, that fateful day when I found Bella, but she was a purebred American Eskimo dog. They come in different sizes and she was the smallest size. They are known for their longevity and Bella lived up to that hype. The vet said he thought she was minimum of 4-5 years when I found her so that would have made her 17-18 years old. I worked with a guy who's mother had one that lived 20 years. If you're looking for a long-living breed, you may want to check them out.

I feel your pain, had to put down my "special" yellow lab last year march 17th. I still miss my hopper. That was her nickname.

It sure does suck, brother! I've had to do this a number of times and, while being the right thing, it is never easy. Speaking of which, I recently heard that America is now up to eight states that allow "assisted suicudes." Dr. Kavorkian must be turning over in his grave.

If you count the swamp (DC) as a state

. And Montana you have to get a court order. But yes he is probably jumping for joy to get change made by standing for something bigger than himself.

Sorry you had to experience the loss of a friend. I have sworn off dogs and cats for now cause it hurts to say goodbye. Besides the best animals find us not the other way around in my experience. So until one finds me....
