It’s a relative of a Waratah nem. Cold water, non photosynthetic. 59-72 degrees depending on where it was collected from. I hate when science goes out the window for fads, these don’t belong in tropical reef tanks.

Making plans for the coral expo in September!

We have a coral farmers market going on out here in September too. Looking forward to it as my first frag show

If I didn't know better, I would say it's an aptasia that is flourescent.

That would be a good way for aptasia to thrive in our tanks. All they have to do is evolve quickly

If your looking to get more test kits I’d recommend iodine and potassium. Potassium’s importance is very under rated, it’s up there with mag yet few people test for it.

You know, i remember 12 years ago on my first nano that potassium was one of the primary tests. Thank you, i forgot about that

Lookin' great! I dig how you have different colors and textures to your rock, and its not too uniform.

My wife just broke out her Cannon digital camera. I am looking forward to playing around and seeing if i can get some pictures that actually look like it does in person. Thank God for Google, because I remember almost nothing from 8th grade photography club.
