Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

it was cruise that stopped in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Coolest part of the whole thing was playing with the rays in Grand Cayman. Did a little bit of snorkling in Jamaica, wasn't really a reef but more of a grass bed. Did see some cool fish in there though, couple of nice tangs and a couple of dwarf angels. Also there was all of three big pieces of rock in the little area, and one had a massive feather duster and a big anemone on it. It was a good cruise and we had a lot of fun, already planning next years big vacation.

It looks amazing!

And this is exactly what I'm talking about

Unbeknownst to you, @mch1984 and I are pretty tight. We actually have a little "health pact" that can be found toward the tail end of his 22 gal planted tank thread which can be FOUND HERE. I'm not going to mention how it's not much of a pact anymore because of the inability of @mch1984 to hold up his end of the bargain. I mean, a guy's gotta go out boating on his BRAND NEW BOAT and take cruises and build gigantic Lego sets and stuff. Like I said, it's just not my style to talk about any of that info or call anyone out. ;Hilarious ;Hilarious;Hilarious

I reached out to an old school reefer about the nem in my tank. He confirmed my speculations on best plan of action. He also confirmed it can be difficult.

yes yes yes, my exercise has not been on point at all. But I am loosing weight and at least doing the diet thing pretty well.

Also I just want to point out that I have made a point to at least be a lot more active. Nothing replaces a work out but with the boat and some other stuff I am generally just a lot more active and spending less time sitting in front of the TV.

Still counts.

Do y'all think it takes a few years of this hobby to figure out what you like vs what does well for you before you get a solid plan?

It's been a few years for myself with 2 tanks and while I had reasonable success with my first tank, the second one was a definate flop. With my third and by far largest build I find myself realizing I'm still very much a newbie. So I'd have to agree, for some atleast, it can take quite a while.
