I realize the "threaded PVC" thing was a few pages below but want to weigh in as it is an important topic.

Below is some very useful info regarding properly plumbing threaded pvc fittings. It's from one of the biggest pvc companies and may be more than you ever wanted to know but has served me very well. Also, I can tell you that I have extensive experience with plumbing from new build homes to remodeling to tanks.

Very interesting that Lasco and Spears have two incredibly different opinions on what's okay for PVC threaded fittings...

@crusso1993 so this article says not to mix sch 40/80 fittings? Can you mix for the total build?

As @Fin Mentioned above, lots of people mix and match sch80 fittings with 40 pipe. I think the key message here is certain fittings can not be mixed and matched with each other (Think Schedule 40 Male threaded into schedule 80 female threaded fittings).

Bulk reef supply has a decent sch80 supply but a horrible sch40 supply. Lots of other places to order schedule 40 fittings and pipe. You should post a list of everything you think you might need and the quantity of each and I'm sure we can come up with a solid supplier or two. I've used a few different suppliers over the years and I'm still trying new ones except for coloured schedule 40 pipe and regular fittings. I won't order from anyone other than Formufit.

Oh and I might have missed it, but what wouldn't match if he got colored PVC?

@crusso1993 , to throw another wrench into this...I'm connecting abs threads to pvc threads and abs to pvs for the slip portion of the bulkhead.
I did get transition cement yesterday. I guess worse case scenario I'll use that for those pieces instead of thread sealant or teflon tape.
I still need to figure out a light installation option.
Pulled the tv wall mount off the wall i n my daughter's room (wasn't being used)
But it's not long enough full stretched out, so I may need to just hang it from the ceiling.

Where are the slip portions of the bulkheads? For inside the overflow box?

There's a slip topside of bulkheads in the overflow box, those won't get any glue or anything.
Then there's slip on the bottom of those overflow bulkheads and there's slip going into the return bulkheads.
The only threads are inside the tank, bulkhead and locline.

Looks good, I'd definitely use transition cement as mentioned earlier (Although I used regular pvc cement for my abs fittings originally and they held up for the few years the tank was up anyway) for the slip but you already addressed my one concern by saying you weren't going to glue the slip fittings inside the overflow box

If those are the only screw in connections, I wouldn't put anything on the threads. That is all inside the tank.

I cannot say for certain but that Spears video looks to have been made quite some time ago. I'd recommend checking with Spears to see if using teflon tape is still acceptable to them. However, even if it were, I still would never use it.

Yeah I'm not sure either and its certainly something I won't use again myself.

The Spears video was published March 15, 2012, so not exactly ancient. The key to the whole issue is to simply not over-tighten the fitting, no matter what you use, IMHO.
