Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

So, a little bit outside the track (Not that we're known for staying on a topic for long), but who's started saving for Secret Santa this year and who is going to participate? I didn't get to go as all out last year as I wanted to so I'm getting an earlier start.

Store coming along nicely !
Looks like a great time, nice turnout with fun people and fellowship

I have had money set aside for it since March. :)

Pfft, and here I was thinking I was ahead of the curve ;Eggonface

And full disclosure, the real reason I was thinking about it was theres snow in the forecast for next week ;Drowning

Long story short...Been on disability since 2012, now cleared for sedentary work, have my first job interview today!!
Wish me luck!!
So excited and nervous at the same time.

I want to Secret Santa again! I can't afford to go all out, but I want to participate.

It's not about going all out. At the end of the day, it's about having fun. I mean, isn't that the whole point of this hobby as well? I liked that they gave lots of questions for participants to answer which gave everyone lots of options to fit almost any budget.

I got very lucky and recieved lots of wonderful gifts, but I would have also been very happy with a $25 gift card from BRS, heck that almost covers shipping on an order for me! I never get free shipping on anything so that would make me pretty darn happy!

The member I sent gifts to ended up figuring out who I was and sent me a $50 BRS Gift card cause he thought I gave too much lol I ended up using that card to purchase a RODI booster pump for another member who couldn't afford one and his filter was performing terribly.

More plumbing showed up today:D:D:D

I imagine you are like me and will take all of those stickers off of the fittings and clean them before assembly. I can’t believe I do that. Ha.

You're talking to the guy who left a scathing review on BRS' website because the 1 1/2" white fittings he ordered came in with black scuff Mark's all over them. Even though they will be under the tank and seen by no one but me. OF course they will be coming off, it would be insane not to remove them, anarchy even! :p :p :p ;Hilarious ;Hilarious ;Hilarious ;Hilarious

You do realize that paint thinner will usually take that right off, right??? ;)

I do, but then I have to go buy paint thinner which is just not in the budget after spending hundreds on plumbing parts :p
Kidding! (Not about the hundreds of dollars though)

It was more just frustration because I'm used to recieving immaculate plumbing parts from Formufit.com, I guess I've just been spoiled and feel I shouldn't have to remove scuff Mark's.

I get your point ;)

Are you sure? Cause the point I was actually trying to convey was that I'm a little insane lol :p

On a more serious note, how have you been @Fudsey??

I need to get caught back up on your thread it's been too long, too many threads to keep up with!
