Y'all need to come get a bunch of my stars and bristle worms. Wonder how they ship?
I'll take all the stars you want to give away, but hold the worms please. Oh and they ship just fine in USPS mail, actually. Just put them in a bag with a little water, they don't need much. Reef Cleaners ships a few things regular mail, others are overnight, but still USPS.

Good morning marine miscreants!

Come get 'em when y'all come down. I could even meet you at the Cave.

Oh, almost forgot. Do y'all add pods to your tank? Phyto?
I add pods whenever I can. At any shop I will pick some up if the have (on recent delivery). You can never have enough right? I really want to culture phyto. I personally feel it is one of the most healthy things we can do for our tanks.

That might be a vacation idea for next year... we really love the Smokies.

Oh, and technically you're up. I'm only like 200ft above sea level.

I need a flashlight with a red lens. I want to night stalk my tank. Ok, that sounded creepy.
More peer pressure... I have this one, works very well.

With pods and phyto, its gonna get eaten/skimmed out and almost always one species of pods will out compete the others eventually. I like to boost and refresh the populations every now and then, turn the skimmer off for a night and dose up a bunch of phyto and pods and let the corals feed like they're at the senior citizens discount night at Golden Corral. Turn the skimmer back on in the morning.

I add reef nutrition phyto, but I am researching how to raise phyto and pods. I am thinking I will brew some up twice a month and sell what I dont use to local reefers.

The reef nutrition reed mariculture kits are pretty cool and are supposed to work well.
Update:
My Pederson shrimp is missing, haven't seen him since the night we put him in the tank, yesterday was a fiasco here and not sure if he hid all day or if he went missing the first night.
Sad, I'll replace him once the new tank is set up.
I have a tank and stand I can use, just need to finish this home office so I can set it up.
Looking at lights last night, I think I may go with the new AI Prime 16 HD, that way I can throw in a few corals and an anemone once this rainbow eventually splits.

Growing phyto is not hard. The nanno species is very easy. It's the other two that are difficult.

I have never grown pods.
