It's a bittersweet day today. Jerry has been playing ball with us for the 9 yrs. He retired and is moving away to be closer to family. It's hard to say goodbye to a friend.

What in the wide world of sports is going on with the pricing of used reefing equipment? I was looking for a used dosing pump that maybe need new tubing and the price of new is only a few bucks more. Then I started looking at what people are asking for used skimmers and found similar differences in price. I guess there is just no reason to buy used.

Absolute insanity.

What's worse is the dealer cost of a lot of equipment. I can actually go on amazon and get many things as cheap or cheaper than wholesale and not pay shipping.

I try to always support my lfs, if what I'm looking for is 10 to 20 percent more i buy from them but when the price is 50 percent higher I end up going Amazon. One of my lfs's has almost the exact same price as Amazon, but does not carry Jeboa.

If it isn’t marineland or seachem chances are slim to none that I can find it at my lfs. I’ve asked for reefroids, Lrs, and other stuff only to be told nope. So online I go. My lfs just can’t seem to get out of their own way.
