Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Same, I have done a lot of work on my laptop but there is a limit when compared to pc. You just have to focus on the parts that matter most i.e. best video card/processor. Your build is nearly enough to send someone to the moon.

Not the case anymore with Alienwares new Area51 17" laptops.... both the video card and processor are future proof upgradeable. The only limit is the power supply... though it's not SUPER portable lol

The prices on the samsung ssds are amazing right now. I run the 970 EVO plus 1tb in all of my computers, it's really the best. Your laptop will potentially throttle the full performance of the card however. (another reason for pc).

Building a pc is wayyyy cheaper and wayyy superior for performance than doing any work on a laptop.

Just ordered a 1 TB 970 EVO Plus. I don't think my laptop will throttle it back but I'm not entirely sure lol

Well there is definitely a limit. For instance, even the highest end razr laptops (which I have) throttle the ssd speed at like 1.8ghz. You also can't add anymore RAM to support the full performance of something like an i9 and definitely not threadrippers. Running a threadripper on a laptop will cause a house to burn down.

I'd look it up, every laptop I've ever owned and looked into has internal throttles for high performance ssds. They are not something you can change either.

Right now, I’m running the razer blade stealth 2019, with the 970 evo plus, other little enhancements, and a gtx 1080ti in an external gpu case for my home office.

This little laptop is suped up on Mountain Dew, I’ve pushed it as far as it can go.

Well I guess mine will throttle it back, I stuck with the i5 on mine, although the best i5 they offered, I couldn't justify the extra $1000 for the i9 and the i5 they had for a choice out performed the i7s they offered. It's a pretty basic laptop 8GB RAM with the GTX 1060 6GB but I can just run an external if I really needed to. I just ordered 32GB of ram from corsair so we will see how that goes...

That's enough to play every game available at 60fps for the next 4 years lol.

That's kindof what I was hoping. I probably won't have it that long anyway lol I already dropped something on it and crushed the keyboard :(

Luckily keyboards are cheap.

I run a blackwidow and love it. I also spoiled myself and got the mamba hyperflux mouse and keypad. It's pretty cool but don't recommend. It's still a little clumsy. Getting the newest technology typically comes with a cost. i.e. you pay a lot of money to be a guinnea pig.

I love command and conquer and red alert 1&2. Wolfenstein 3d anybody? All time favorite running against the walls holding the space bar.
X-com.

Smash Bros is good but many of days spent playing medal of Honor rising sun.

Now my boys and I play modern warfare 2&3 and call of duty Black ops. I wish they would bring back the 4 person split screen

Kindof like reefing lol!!!

I have a Premium accidental damage warranty so the replacement was free and they showed up the next morning to do it. Pretty cool watching him take it apart, MAN theres a lot of stuff going on in there lol

C&C was my all time favourite PC game. So cheap to by nowadays too I think I paid like $12 for EVERY version of it on origin.

With today's technology I'd like to see 4 person split screen but on separate monitors

I thought about it when I was building my laptop and looking over all the reviews and specs I just decided it wasn't worth the cash and stuck with the 1060, I can always run one external if I'm super desperate which I don't think I will be any time soon...

Yeah, you can get away with a 1660 and call it a day. Im just stubborn and want to run DayZ or Arma or squads or Rainbow six siege on ultra.

Could always grab something like the 2060 for now and upgrade down the road? Same with the ram really, might soften the blow on the sticker price a bit
