You can if you order a Lifereef... atleast most of it, you can even get coloured internal plumbing with it as well

I believe Bashsea makes ones in custom colours as well

Yes, it is one of the fastest growing corals as it uses a lot of nutrients!

Never said it was cheap, just that it can be done. Plus, $450 for a skimmer isn't all that bad when people are spending thousands on lights and return pumps.

He must have upped his pricing, to be fair when I bought mine that was 3+ years ago lol either way, cheapest, no. But they will last 20-30 years, throw a good mag drive on them and the money you save over that span of time can be huge if you're buying skimmers with proprietary pumps.

Anyway I don't really want to turn this into a huge skimmer debate which I feel that's where it might be heading so I'll leave things at that
