Thanks. They black scooters happily eat frozen foods. Working on ruby atm, but she is tiny still, not even an inch in length.I love dragonnets. It's nice to see you putting so much thought into keeping them. You have a good variety of live food but one thing I would add to the dragonnets feeding schedule is Nutreva ova. It's a frozen food. You don't need to feed it that often maybe once a week but it's good for fattening them up plus if you have some sort of disaster that kills off your cultures you can use it for a main daily feed till you can get your cultures back up and running.

I know it's available in St. Louis, Missouri at Seascape Studio which is where I buy it from. I don't go through it very quickly though so if your wanting a large quantity I don't know if they can supply that.Unfortunately Nutramar Ova has been mostly unobtanium for the last few years. It reappeared briefly around this time last year, and I bought a bunch. If anyone knows where to find it plesae say.
Sadly found Ruby permanently sleeping this morning. The damsels I added to clear up a flatworm problem seem to have upset the tank harmony. Last night the bicolour Blenny went missing and found him in the rear sump and now Ruby. Bye bye damsels, you going back to the shop.Teeny weeny Ruby

Thanks, we are really heartbroken, she was such a calm and gentle little thing.Aww that's sad :-(
I'm sorry for your losses..
I've been wanting to get a second scooter..
I had a mated pair...theb one day out of the blue the male disappeared...
Will a ruby male and black female pair? Or should I just get another black male ?
Funny you mentioned small mandis.. I've got the pics somewhere on fb I believeThanks, we are really heartbroken, she was such a calm and gentle little thing.
I have no idea if they will pair, there are a couple of different red ones out there too. Ruby had yellow fins and her body was full red. When they are available we are going to get a male and female ruby pair. Hubby got excited when he saw some small (1&1/4”) mandarins at lfs that are on frozen foods, so we got a female. Plus we picked up my porcelain crab who has been on hold for me and a gbta to go with her.

We have three now also. Two in the 40g and the new little one. Having issues with the two small in the 40. Both females which have shared the same nem since the lfs. Now the smaller of the two has bigger claws so she keeps pushing the other out the nem. Poor bugger has been hosting on the branching leather with the glass anemone shrimp. That's a really nice bta... I can't wait to get back to work on my Nem tank..
I have 3 porclin crabs.. they are a pinkish red color.. super neat to watch.. and they seem to molt all the time
Watching her fins flow is hypnoticFunny you mentioned small mandis.. I've got the pics somewhere on fb I believe
My mated pair of blue mandis in my fuge were under 1/2 inch when I got them a year ago or so... such pretty fish.. I rairly see them.. but they are full grown now!!
