bristle worms have got to go

I desperately need some help getting rid of these bristle worms...i bought an arrow crab and he does not even mess with them, ive also tried the pantyhose idea and the bottle traps and got no results...does anyone have any other ideas? Ive got a friend that told me to use a coral dip...would that work?

I have a green wrasse that munches happily on them.

I went out to get a picture of him but he has already gone to bed.
The only place that I ever see bristle worms anymore is in my filter socks.

My yellow coris wrasse also eats them and the only ones left in my tank are in areas where it can't reach them.

Bristles worms a very beneficial to your reefs ecosystem. They turn over detritus and they'er great scavengers.

Thanks for the help...i believe i may go with the yellow coris because its a 65 gallon tank and the yellow coris gets around 5" and the green gets arpund 8"

You could try reducing your feedings so that there are no leftovers for your worms. That should help reduce your population at least.

Yes i know they are a great cuc but my baby snowflake keeps getting bristles in its face and they are over populating

I dont feed much because i only have 2 clowns, the snowflake eel, an arrow crab, emerald crab, some hermits and snails so i only feed enough for the 2 clowns i give them omega 1 in the a.m. and mysis shrimp at night

Go for the wrasse. You will be happy and so will the wrasse!!

If your desperate and the fish doesn't work out. My experience has been....every time I treated my tank with ChemiClean (For Cyano) I had a large reduction in my B.Worm population.

They can be annoying i know some species of wrasse will eat them

I dont mind having a few in there to help my cuc but as i said they are overpopulating and my poor baby snowflake keeps getting bristles in its face because of them

They will come out at night... I typically grab the large ones with tweezers and toss them if my tank gets too many.. I don't feed much to my tank, but I do have a bio load they like .....

Maybe a large houverns wrasse that's a big on u can also dip the rocks in coral rx

Ive got quite a few that size...ive heard of six lines getting mean and i just heard about dipping the rocks, but will it kill my purple algae? Im really considering the yellow chromis because its a nice looking fish and its big enough to take out worms of that size.
