BRS talked about a CATALOG /magazine .let's make it happen, let's help them do it. Things for sale,a diy section ,reef discussions... Lets vote on it and they will see the community response to who wants them to do a Catalog/magazine. We can help them with it also giving ideas articles to write about in Between pages of pieces of gear to buy. I vote yes for it.

It definitely would be on my coffee table!!!

kill trees to support reef by having "magazine"? Confused by your suggestion.... think they already do it and then some ... and don't kill trees by putting it in print

they have great online "catalog" containing reviews already... its at: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/

they even go above and beyond with video... Harry Potter's wizarding world may have moving newspapers and such, but here in muggle world, takes PC, tablet, phone or other electronic device to watch videos...

I'd love to be able to sit on my deck in the morning with a cup of coffee while flipping through a BRS catalog. Holding a tablet and navigating through menus is not the same thing at all.

I think a catalog is definately outdated but it would be nice for them to add more information on the website like the catalogs had. A breakdown of categories, more detailed information on the products, hell even some cheesy pictures of people using the products or pictures of nice aquariums that some customers had submitted. Make it more than just a place to buy equipment. Make it more of a place for some learning and entertainment and you can buy stuff too.

With their online presence and the new buyout I don’t see why they need a catalog

it’s just another way for them to make money. Pay for the monthly subscription yada yada

I still like physical books and actual magazines with articles (like coral magazine) but don't care for shopping catalogs. The books and magazines I buy have enough value that I keep them. Not just toss in the recycling. I wish I got less junk mail...

Paper catalog, not online .plant trees if you worried about them.

How about a downloadable digital catalog that I can thump through offline on my iPad or whatever your prefered device is.

I still subscribe to Amazonas Magazine, in print. Also comes with a digital copy, but ive never looked thru those, nothing beats flipping the pages for me. I also read books, so I guess I'm an oddity. Flipping thru a BRS catalog would remind me of the old sears christmas catalog that would come out every year, and I would look at every page.

I remember those Sears Roebuck catalogs from when I was a kid. That was our wish book for presents.

What do you want to bet we have auto renew for salt, 2part carbon etc

I love BRS, and I grew up on catalogs. When I was a kid when the new Radio Shack catalog came out every year I was as excited as I was at Christmas.

But today it really seems wasteful. I'm not for it. Sorry Ryan.

I’d say maybe a semi annually or quarterly “newsletter”. They mentioned wanting to get into more of the Marine Depot blogging aspect, why not put them into print…. Even if it wasn’t free, I’m sure they wouldn’t have a problem setting up a subscription base.

A catalog would be difficult, price fluctuations, new products, etc. I’d prefer to search their website for the product I’m interested in, rather then searching my house trying to remember where I left the catalog and then searching the catalog for the right page.
