I haven't ordered many things from catalogs in over 10 years. The way things are going in and out of stock right now I don't think it would be much use.
If they sold one how many would buy it? A lot of places used to do that in the RC hobby. A big glossy picture filled thing for $6.

While I think it's kind of a neat idea, I also thinks it's a stupid idea. Things change way to quickly to rely on printed media. I am all for it as long as the honor the prices in the book for a set amount of time. I bet it would annoy people who decide to buy something out of a catalog and then when they go to actually order it and the price has increased greatly.

and it is the kiss of death if you have a listed price in a catalog that is way higher than other people are selling something for. It cuts both ways.
Then their are those wonderfully useless catalogs that say
Call for Price and Availability
on everything.
