BRS prices?

They have a super sale/appreciation sale in progress

Read through the thread. We are not talking about the Preferred Reefer Event. There was a window of around 30-ish minutes on the 26th where everything on the site was 45% off.
 
If I was drinking at the club and I noticed that an inebriated person was eager to engage in a bit of motel passions and because we were both intoxicated we made The Natural Mistake, would you still feel that I was honorable if you found out what I did to your significant other, since I told you about the mistake and asked for forgiveness?

Sometimes mistakes happen that can be undone and I don’t expect a transaction to happen if the person becomes aware of the situation and stops making a mistake from happening further.

If BRS shipped all of their products at a loss eventually they will cease to exist. Then there will be no possibility that I can meet with them after work for drinks, which would be a huge loss for everyone involved.

I think your comparing apples and oranges. You are adding in details that didn't exist. The OP wasn't "intoxicated" when he entered the contest (was he? ;)). Plus we are talking about a pricing error, not infidelity.

Im familiar with that and they did the preferred and as just indicated have been honoring the lower pricing for many of the preferred reefers

Yep! You had to catch it quickly, or you missed out on the sale.

I was one of the winners for the Preferred Reefer event. I've been buying from them for over 3 years now and always had great customer service and quality products. I'm extremely grateful they are the type of company to give back to the customers. I would highly suggest purchasing through them and I will continue to use them as my main supplier of anything aquarium related.

Comes down to the consumer knowing this was lower than reasonable as was the case with some of these sales. If I recall correctly, mark up often less than 40% therefore a 50% plus discount not likely promotional and very likely posting error.
I think another 'tell' is that (at least as far as I understood) this affected all of the products on the site. If so, this points more to a software/data entry issue.
