Bryan's --Nano in 90 Build-- Thread

What are you using for the back? I already have mine running so I can't paint it now.

I painted mine with spray paint last night since it hasn't been setup yet. I just used painting tape to cover the corners and sides, sprayed it, and pulled the tape off.

Since your's is running now, you could do the plastic backgrounds. I actually have one on my 220 and it worked out pretty good.

Painted and bulkheads installed :)

Thanks....I feel the same way considering Mallorie is showing us all up considering she's had water in the tank for a week or two now, haha.

Will try to get to get to Lowe's today to get the elbows so I can measure and work on the overflow box today.

Sump and top-off container in the back of the stand. I think it'll work out perfectly :) Srill two small holes in the shelf to allow tubing to go through for the top off as well.

Added a "feature" to my sump today, haha.

Can you guess what its for? Auto-Topoff :) At least I hope it works out that way!

Thanks guys, its been fun building it so far :)

Good news: I got the plumbing done, at least the hard part, and installed. I also got the overflow box gluing right now, or least the front and one side :) I finally got a wrench big enough for the router to swap in a new bit and it worked perfectly. Cut the acrylic perfectly without melting or binding at all. Nice slices of acrylic flying off the piece I' cutting, only leaving a nice smooth line. I'll post pics in a bit of the box - which I'm building out of black acrylic.

Bad news: I'm an idiot, haha. That piece I glued in for the auto-topoff is going to have to come out somehow. I was showing my neighbor when I thought....how the heck am I going to get the return pump in and out of there, haha. Looks like I'll either move it to the side more or end up using the Avast Marine auto-topoff setup :)

Got more done today, close to being ready for water. A few pics for your enjoyment :)

Overflow box I built - got a little extra glue on the bottom left :(

Thanks guys (and gal)! This tank has been really fun to build with trying to perfect everything for the contest :)

I should be able to get water in it today but not get the circulation going since my return pump won't arrive until Wednesday or Thursday. I should be able to work on the rock as well.

Dude that rocks!
