Bryan's --Nano in 90 Build-- Thread

Thanks Rev. I have water running from display to sump now that I found an old Maixjet 500 that still works ;) I even had to put a ball valve on it, but I think its sufficient turnover for an only 13 gallon system :)

The AquaClear is a bit louder than I want under the stand, so I'll like be putting in some type of nano skimmer in its place.

Now to work on the rock :)

Quick and dirty update :)

Added the new sand and a large scoop of sand from my display tank. Added 4 pieces of live rock from the display, as well as a large foam filter that has been in there since the beginning of the tank. That should help it NOT have a cycle, but we'll see :)

Still have to aquascape it.

Side note: The MP10 looks like it'll work just fine for the tank, but turned almost all the way down, haha. I can crank it up and it'll tumble that water like crazy.

Doh...almost forgot to add:

I ordered my light and fixture from LEDTRIC this morning....I'm really looking forward to getting it.

Your tank is awesome!! Lookin' forward to some updated pics! ;) Don't keep us waiting too long!! :xd:

Man you are doing a great job. I have a 22"cube and find it hard to get everything in the stand. I can only imagine how difficult it must be but you seam pretty creative. Good luck

Great job on the plumbing and that overflow box, Brian! You are leaving me in the dust, LOL!

Thanks everybody. I'll get pictures up of the tank later today with water and rock. Haven't had a chance to work on the scape yet.

Your tank looks great. You sure are spending a lot of money thanks to this contest. haha. I can't wait to see your aqua scape. I will be following along.

Thanks for the comments :)

Actually, on the contrary, I haven't spend that much money. All of the equipment, except the tank of course, was laying around. In fact, I haven't purchased anything in regards to equipment except for the lighting that I just purchased.

Nice setup buddy. I like.

Thanks man, its been fun building so far.

Ok, I understand. I started a nano for the competion from stuff I just had. All I need are lights now. I wish I had a few MP10s laying around that I could use. Good luck on your tank.

Woohoo....got my Avast Marine topoff today. Pretty cool design...simple yet effect. Dosing pump will be in tomorrow for the topoff.

DUDE! I love AVAST products!

Can't wait to see updated pictures, the avast marine top off is one of the systems that I am considering for my tank.

Going to try to work on aquascape tonight, haven't had much time, or motivation, to do it lately, haha.

I get my dosing pump today, now I just have to make, or buy, an acrylic or glass container for the topoff water. Will try to post pics tonight.

Update: Had to redo the drain plumbing cause the drain was gulping for air, making the tank too loud. Everything works perfectly now, and the tank is DEAD silent. Also hooked up the new return pump (Mini-jet 606) and the Avast Marine TopOff, using a Aqualifter as the topoff pump.

Still haven't done the rocks how I want, hopefully this weekend :)
