Bryopsis and reef flux

I have been experiencing a good amount of bryopsis and have treated it with reef flux. The first attempt I followed as directed on the bottle, knocked it down but not gone. Second attempt I left it in double the recommended time, I thought it was all gone but it looks like it’s starting in some spots. Also used it with vibrant the second time, any ideas how to make it go away for good?

sorry to say but algae is never gone for good. you can make different approaches with a refugium and what are your tank parameters. if you want it gone for good keep up on water changes and knock it out with dosing

ideally, you add more CUC after knocking down the algae(regardless of what kind it is).

i suggest adding: lettuce nudibranch, pitho crab, emerald crab, or sea hare (dolabella ar.)

i read on here recently of someone who covered the patches with coral plugs and due to lack of light it died due to that. i think it was @G Santana

you could always do reflux again, but up the dosage and monitor?

I was thinking about doing the flux again as it seems not to bother my euphyllia. Was hard on the cuc I do need to replenish, not a fan of crabs, but where can I get a nudibranch?

The sea slugs and a emerald crab for the sump, along with lots of snails

Following along to see the outcome. I've not had experience with Lettuce Nudibranchs previously. I did have some Berghia quite some time ago and had no success with them for Aiptasia.

Really even at the price they get for the berghia’s I thought they cleared aiptasia well

I'm recently on a live phyto dosing kick. All natural, good for everything, and removes algae.

they require light. too much flow will not allow them to move around much.

I do propagate phyto but don’t really know how much to use, I have seen threads where dosing is all over the place. I mainly use it to grow pods, but put some in the tank a couple times a week. Amount of phyto is not an issue I could be selling it.
