Yes but the only reason most people dose at night is because the fish are usually sleeping and not out in open water so they don't stress.

Did a single treament at recommended dosage, bryosis and gha were gone after 7-8 days just a few straid here there to start with, didn't want to wait for a full outbreak before treating. chaeto was some what impacted with strain broke apart so I installed carbon reactor with BRS's rox 8 to removed the meds, though I saw chaeto has recovered but my PO4 went from 0.06 to ULOQ or flashing 200 on hanna ultra low phosphorous checker, and NH3 from 1 to 5 in 3 weeks. Has anyone observed nutrient spike like I did when running algae as main nutrient export method?

It would be nice to know what type of Bryopsis everyone has so we can develop a time table for how quickly Fluconazole affects certain strains of Bryopsis. I have the wiry brush like Bryopsis that doesn't have the pronounced fern like structure.

Mine was feathery / fern like, and around 4" long or more in most places

I'm a little over 1 week into the first treatment on my tank. This has been nothing short of amazing. Nearly all byropsis is gone from the tank!

I'm not sure if it was just timing, but i turned my skimmer back on after day 5. The treatment seems to have been much more effective after that.

ime, 4 yrs ago, solved my bryopsis problem with continuum bacter clean -m, but hey as all in saltwater, may work in my tank, may not work in others;)

Wanted to report back, its been, what 2months? Bryopsis is re-emerging again.

I'm going to be doing another full dose now.

Hey R2R another reefer here battling bryopsis. Tank has been set up about 2.5 years. I was manually removing using tech m and then vibrant with little success. 4 months ago it got so bad I decided to take out my bryopsis covered Tonga and the sand bed. I put new sand and rock and reset the tank. Things were going ok but of course the dreaded bryopsis returned. I had managed to keep no3 and po4 very low but I couldn't stop bryopsis from getting a hold once again. I got a dose of flucozanole from a friend and figured it was time to give it a shot. I dosed 20mg/gal and removed gac and my skimmer cup. I'm running a felt sock. I figured I would join the discussion and post some pics. I was reluctant to dose this stuff because despite the algae my corals are all doing well. I have a mixed reef with a fair amount of acros Montis zoos lps fish blood shrimp and sand sifting stars. Anyway hopefully I have good results like most of you have. Here's where I stand today.
