Thanks for sharing and the daily updates!
Wondering if you have a current full tank shot now to compare with the one in your first post? And did you take a FTS right before starting Fluc to compare to current?

I'm holding off on a wc until it's all gone. Even if I can't see any more Bryopsis after a few more days,I'll still probably wait until the 2 week mark.

I know this is not a vibrant thread but useful in the bryopsis battle.

I'm following to see how this treatment goes, but after 3 doses of vibrant my bryopsis has paled and the ferns thinned out, plus seeing bits floating and in my filter socks, along with red turf algea.

Going to continue with vibrant if it fails now know there is another weapon of choice [emoji380][emoji379]

Yeah if Vibrant is working for you then I probably wouldn't change anything. Something in Vibrant just didn't get along with my tanks chemistry. I kept getting long brown strands of slime with bubbles on the end and red cyano everywhere. Plus I burnt the tips of a lot of my sps from dropping the nitrates too quickly using it.I think some say that their tanks went through the same thing for a while before it cleared up but mine stayed that way for a couple of months.

This treatment has been pretty quick and no adverse reactions that I can find so far. I don't think that anyone else has reported back with anything bad about it either.

I haven't taken any FTS in a long time. My 14 year old sand has been so ugly looking for so long that's its embarrassing. I have slowly started to clean and remove some of it and it's been going pretty well. I've had to go so slow with it because it's 4"-6" deep and I'm being careful to remove the trapped gasses and nastiness from underneath without causing an ammonia spike and/or crashing the tank.I don't have any full colonies in this tank any more. Years ago we removed and moved all of them to a friends system while my wife and I were traveling.I ended up letting him keep just about everything so I could start over and enjoy getting new corals and watching them grow.Although my tank probably sat with only fish for about the last 5 years.I've got about 30-40 different corals going now just not grown yet.I'll probably make a new thread sometime and post some before and after pics of my sand and everything else.

I'm also anxious to see how everyone else does with their treatment.

I think that I must have lost track of my coral buying because I just counted around 55-60 in this tank now. I don't know how those got in there honey (crosses fingers behind back) they just appeared!!

Thats the problem with battling nature, shes a crafty bugger and opportunist! Were every there is a food source something will thrive, plus each tank is different, so be interesting to see if there is any negatives effects with Fluconazole.

Just to add to the mix, i dose bactobalance also, this is another nutrient control method, plus trace elements. This may or not have an impact on what I'm seeing and why I'm seeing results so soon.

Yeah I use most of Prodibio products and it has a bacteria and carbon source as well. I stopped dosing everything while trying this though just to see how everything reacted.I've also got a calcium reactor for this system standing by for when/if I can get everything running smoothly.
