I ordered mine today, how do I keep my Santa Monica up flow scrubber going if I take it out for the 14 days can I put it in a 5 gallon bucket with it running? Any thoughts?

Mine closed up a bit, but has been normal since!
Thanks, I just got it Monday so hopefully it's not too much for it to handle in a short time... Funny cause I was more concerned about the hammer frag I got last week, never is what I anticipate..

Amazing tank! It's gonna work for you! I can't wait to see your after video!!! Mine was the same way, all embedded up inside all the crevices of my pukani. It hasn't been in my system for 2 weeks and there is 0 trace of any bryopsis anywhere. I was getting some in my filter socks for several days after it wasn't visible in the DT and I think it must have been growing in the plumbing. I haven't seen any in the last couple days so I am pretty sure that all of it is dead too.
Thank you! That is definitely encouraging to hear :D I'm really excited to start doing this and pretty much have lost my patience through anticipation LOL But my nitrates are only down to 30 PPM and I prefer it to be at least 20 PPM so I'm going to do one more water change either late tonight or tomorrow morning before I start. I wouldn't doubt there being some in my pipes as well. I did see a little bit in my sump and I know there is some inside the overflows....

Thanks again!

I am going on day 4 and mine seems to be normal

I just got mine thinking of diluting it in some vodka before water and then dumping it in the dt

Solubility is supposed to be much higher in alcohol. Let us know how it goes.
I would expect you to get a clear solution instead of the suspension most get with water.

BTW, solubility is better in saltwater than RO/DI, but still less than alcohol.

I've got a shipment in the mail today. I'm going to dose a friend's BC29 that was my old tank.
I think I'll dose it, take some before pictures and not tell him what I'm doing until the bryopsis magically disappears.

I have a theory and no way to prove it but my gha went away to and I still have some bryopsis that's just stalks left. I wonder what I'm doing differently that other people aren't seeing gha going away?

Im on day 11 and there is still some stalks alive.

Anyone with a toadstool?
Dosed 100mg tablet crushed into a 10g tank last night and my toadstool is closed today, everything else appears happy enough.
Algae appears a bit lighter in color. Dark greens are now lime green, some tips are even turning white, which is crazy I only dosed like 16 hours ago

Ive got a large toadstool, and an even larger green finger, as well as a small kenya. They are loving it!

Even with algae you tank is amazing. Theres so much hard work there.
Thank you! Yes a little over 2 years... tired of battling the bad stuff I'm ready for the good stuff to start working out LOL

What size tank, how much did you dose at what mg each? Might be hair algae which seems to take longer. I think these things are important due to the dosage differences that people are using and what type of bryopsis it is or even if it's hair algae. Also I've noticed that those dosing vibrant alongside seem to be killing algae faster especially in smaller tanks. There doesn't seem to be one set control.

I am dosing Vibrant and Flucon and my results are slow and steady. If anything mine turned more matted vs white.
