All that's left of bryopsis are little pieces of the stem or root or whatever it's called. As far as the GHA it is just slowly withering away, there is a significant size difference from day 1 to now. Bubble algae, I honestly can't tell if it is effected by the fluconazole. Some pieces look lighter and some have popped but I don't know if it's from fluconazole because there are still some pieces that seem unaffected.

I am still skimming dry and still running gfo but phosphate has climbed a tiny bit more. More importantly my livestock seems fine.

simply amazed I was not planning on it but was at drugstore and happened to see Fluconazole for $17 and figured was a few pills , when got home realized there was only one 150mg pill so I though its not gonna work but did it anyways and on day 5 my bypropis is 90% dead and disintegrating like mad!, and gha is receeding fast. before I started bypropis was dark green and in 5 day of only one 150mg pill in my 55g w/10g sump , its a total difference, can not believe it!, and nothing else at all seems effected in anyway. good job NCreefguy!!

I know it's a great feeling watching that algae melt away! :)

Sweet!

I haven't voted in the poll yet though because I would rather state my final results. Because everybody who says they're in progress of treating isn't an absolute yes or no.

I made it possible for you to change your vote to yes or no once your treatment is done. :)

I do understand Twillard, it is what he does lol and I have a feeling a few others check this one to be funny cuz I know some of them are in progress of treating their tank right now haha. I just don't get why a reefer would really WANT this stuff in their tanks

I'm interested in hearing from the two no's. I'd like to know more details so we can try and figure out why it didn't work.
I agree! Because that's what this thread is really about.

Theres another fern type of algae that looks like bryopsis, maybe thats why? Would like to know myself also. I explain this to everyone, to completely ID bryopsis. Take a flashlight, and shine it on the algae when lights are off. Bryopsis shines green and blue almost florescent in appearance

So if I want to treat with chemi clean this weekend, how should I go about it?

I would probably at least do a small water change, run two days of chemiclean, then a big water change. After that you can go back and restart your Fluconazole treatment.

This is how I ran my chemiclean after the flucon. (with the exception that I didn't have to restart another flucon treatment)
