Day 9 comparison. No adverse to urchins for those with urchins. This is probably turf algae. I plan on doing a water change at day 14 and doing another full dose unless there is no algae left at that time.

Has anybody used this treatment with a "Giant Clam" species in their reef?

If so, Did the the clam do fine?

It looks a bunch better! If you're going to do that, pull as much as you can before the wc and 2nd dose. Might help

I only have a few acans but they didn't react at all during treatment. There may end up being contributing factors that we don't know about that will come out as more research is done. Hopefully you don't lose anything else.

I hope so too. On a good note though yesterday was day 11 and bryopsis is almost gone, just a few strands left. Skimmer is back on and i have also put carbon back on too.

Ok, so PURIGEN:

Anecdotal evidence says, it's really good at pulling flucanazole out of the water. I had dosed it enough to do 3x the required amount and the algae showed nothing. I pulled all purigen out of the system, dosed with what was left (which would have been slightly weak) and algae tips have all turned white and is dying.

Ah ha! We should tell Sweden about Purigen! This is great to know as gac does nothing to absorb it. And need to put this in the FAQ. Sad that you had to find out the hard way however. At least now you're on your way to total bryopsis/GHA annihilation! Love it!

So iv just finished treating my 125 gallon. I dosed 4000mg in it to rid myself of horrible gha. After the treatment I would say my gha is 85% gone, the places it's left are all in low light areas so adding some lights to shaded areas may be a good idea for really bad tanks. Almost everything in the tank seemed unaffected by the medication, I did lose my sea hare on day 14 but am not sure if it was related or not. He had been eating the dying algae at a much faster rate than I had ever seen before, seemed like it never even slept during the last week so maybe he overdosed on it or maybe he was older than I thought and it was gonna happen either way. I did also lose a acan during treatment but again I can't say it was due to the fluco because all other coral seems unaffected. What I can say though is this product works and works very well. Iv been struggling with this gha for months and it really seemed I was going to lose the fight. Definitely gonna be buying some more as a back up and will be shouting this from the roof tops.

Dude so awesome!! How long did you treat?

If anyone would care to donate a cap or two to me I would appreciate it. I need 3-4 more now that I wasted my shipment of them by running purigen. If anyone has an extra here and there and wouldn't mind sending it my way, I can even paypal you the 45 cents for postage. Please PM me.

World's worst luck, I clearly spoke too soon about keeping it together. This is the second one spot fox face I've killed in two years. I feel terrible, and I'm clearly a terrible person for putting it through whatever I put it through. He seemed fine until I found him dead when I got home from work tonight. All the other fish in the tank are completely fine. Could this be because of the fluconazole? All parameters are still perfect, unchanged.

I feel awful.
