I'm on day 17 now. I have GHA not bryopsis which was already a pale sickly growth that may be due to the fact I have two Sochting Oxydators in my DT. I'm sure it is GHA as I've looked at it under a kiddy microscope and also tested it by spot dosing a small area with hydrogen peroxide which killed it completely. The algae seems to have weakened to a small degree, and I have noticed hermit crabs and snails seem more interested in eating it than before. I've only just turned my skimmer on which isn't producing much as I've had my hands in the water fiddling with powerheads, it always takes a few hours to start skimming properly after I've done that. I've ordered some more capsules, so I'll have enough to do a second treatment after I give the present dose another week or two to see if it kills off more algae. Will a 10% water change be sufficient before re-treatment? I wonder how much this medication degrades after 2 or 3 weeks, anyone know?
Thanks
John
PS; While I've been typing this my skimmer has started working and is now pulling out some urine coloured skimmate ;)

Here's the two week results - only other thing I added was started dosing vibrant and increasing the magnesium. Results speak for themselves. It went from looking like a planted tank to a whole new tank.

Thanks for the support - I think I am. :) it's clear that it worked!

Can someone quickly confirm as I'm going to dose soon.

I assume it's 20mg per US gallon? I'm in the uk and work in imperial gallons.

If I work to us gallons I need 9 capsules but imperial gallons its 7. I assume it's US gallons? Thanks

Correct it's 20mg per US gallon.

Just wanna say this process cured my few small patches of bryopsis in 5-6 days! However, I am waiting the whole 14 days to do a water change.
I agree with you on that. That way you're sure to get every root and every Spore in the system :)
