Bryopsis, fluco just not cutting it!!

I’ve seen instances (it’s a big huge thread I know ) of folks having difficulty with the pet place stuff and minimal bryo (confirmed) die off and regrowth..
it is a very strange observation/ anomaly.

When I did my dose for bryo , I had about 150-200 par on the sandbed.
You mean difficulty with the Reef HD stuff right?

Lettuce sea slugs will mow through bryopsis fast. 6 of them did the trick for me with a light bryopsis outbreak in a 100g tank; bryopsis was entirely gone in less than a week with no other treatment.

I used the Reef Flux HD treatment with no recurrences of Valonia (admittedly, this isn't bryopsis) at a quadruple dose; the only thing I can think of from a chemical warfare perspective is to try a higher dose (ensure no carbon/skimming/anything to take the fluconazole out) or you may have a resistant strain/strain that isn't susceptible. FWIW, quadruple the usual dose didn't cause any problems with my tank with the possible exception of being harmful to urchins (anemone, serpent star, Lysmata shrimp, fish, corals including softies/LPS were all fine).

Good luck!

this will help manage it some.

A few weeks ago I added some Lettuce Sea Slugs (NOT Lettuce Nudibranchs) to my DT and have honestly been quite surprised at how effective they've been (at least when they stay away from the overflows and powerheads). LA usually has them for $13 ea (https://www.liveaquaria.com/product/724/lettuce-sea-slug-green?pcatid=724&c=497+524+724).
From the LA listing:

The Lettuce Sea Slug may also be referred to as the Lettuce Nudibranch, or Green Lettuce Nudibranch, although it is not a true nudibranch.

Right, they may be listed as nudibranchs at times but they aren't actually nudis, they're a completely different family. Elysia crispata is what you want. I got mine from Blue Zoo.

As I mentioned, a handful did an amazing job with bryopsis for me. Unfortunately, they then all either vanished into the overflow or starved to death.
