Bta acts really weird any help is apreciated

So i have recently made a post about my bta looking weird while moving. But now its a nightmare. It started moving like a month ago and to this day it won't stop moving. A month ago it was fully open and healthy but now as soon as it started moving its closed up about 1/4 of its size every noght it goes on a walk EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and sometimes floats in the tank and then the wave maker pushes it to the side ataches to a rock and the same thing every night. At day it always sits in spot does not move and is small so small i barely even see it and again as soon as my night time lights come on it starts doing its thing plus stinging other corals. How can i stop this i am so tired of it not planting its foot on a rock i have heard anemones taking about 4 days to find a spot but not a month! Is something wrong with it ? Please help. Good color? Filling up? It'll be fine if all those things are in place. Just make sure she does not rest on a coral. I have four Bta's and they move from one spot to the next almost nightly,....then during the day they are all spread open and blown up,...looking awesome. I think we tend to worry when there is no need.

It's may be with some but they won't stop till they find a happy place so if u don't want him stinging corals I can take him out. It's the risk we take with bta

The nice red one in middle moves all the time the big green been same spot for over a year.

Bubble tips dont like really high nitrates or phosphates and make sure alkalinity is between 8-10 id say check your parameters. Second bubble tip anemones dont like being blasted with flow but do love high light. They also will keep moving till they find a happy spot and then stay there.. they tend to like little caves to dig their feet in it wont like a flat surface so if you have a cave like crevice in the rocks place anemone there.

hi yes i feed it frozen mysis and brine shrimp maybe once or twice a week, the same food we feed the fish. It grows bigger i find the more i feed it.. the bubble tips stay bubble i find if nitrates are low and they are not getting blasted by high flow. Another thing i noticed with BTA is that they tend to move a lot if you have a powerhead on only one side of the tank... whenever i have placed powerheads on both sides they dont tend to keep moving.. just something ive noticed

They are steered by light, water flow and food source. If you have scheduled lighting and alternating current..... this will be a cause.
If there’s clowns in the tank realizing the way they like to beat them up- that will cause them to run. LOL

Age of the system is over rated. Atleast for my BTA I put it in 3 weeks time after addign first fish and it seems to be doing ok. Only moving it does is poking out tentacles out of its cave while planting its foot insdie cave.
Thing I did to get it out from cave though is Adding a Clownfish who will host it.
I added wild caught Clarkii and after puting the BTA in take for 3 days. IT came out of its hiding cave the very next morning and happy as the clown is hosting it.
TLDR: Get a Hosting clown and maybe place it in a rock structure where it can feel safe with its foot inside a cave.

Is it a Red or Green BTA BTW? Red BTA require lot of light while Green require only small anounts. Keep it in mind when you place them and can avoide a lot of headache.

Sepcially if its a REd BTA it must be going in search of stronger light at night. Turn off the dam night light and let your tank rest at night.

Same here i notice after feeding they bubble up better. Just wondering thanks

I do have a cave like rock were it usually was but as soon as i put it it goues back to moving, my parameters are in check alk is 8.5 mag is 1470 ca is 400 phos and nitrate tests are coming soon in a week gonna check but i have anitrates reactor and i do a weekly water change i thing my nitrates and phosphates are at normal lvl

Mines a green bta and my lights were on 45% intensity and because i added some other corals i added a aclimation to 70% intensity dont know if that triggered it

My BTAs do amazing. My tank is pretty dirty, I have a powerhead in addition to just the return pump. I have an AI Prime or HD prime, or “something “ no idea really...... I run whatever program I googled, I have never direct fed my Nems, and I don’t test my water unless something looks bad (so I still haven’t)

Nem (now 2) have been in tank for 7 months and look great. Larger one is probably as big around as a plate when lights are on/happy.

Many ways to tackle these issues...... mine have been to ignore them and let them acclimate and find their happy space in the tank.

I actually do. I run ecotech radions on softy/lps program starting my lights from 9am-9pm with ranp up and ramp down and moonlight program from radion the flow is stable thoagh. Clowns started hosting the anemone after it started moving im really puzzled here dont know how to solve this priblem

I would try a 3-4 days test with a different and steady light schedule such as 20% white and 75% blue and see if the anemone stays still then you know its the changing light schedule
