Bta acts really weird any help is apreciated

I would try a 3-4 days test with a different and steady light schedule such as 20% white and 75% blue and see if the anemone stays still then you know its the changing light schedule
Ok about blue and white inunderstand what about the other chanells green ,violet ,deep blue, red?

So i have recently made a post about my bta looking weird while moving. But now its a nightmare. It started moving like a month ago and to this day it won't stop moving. A month ago it was fully open and healthy but now as soon as it started moving its closed up about 1/4 of its size every noght it goes on a walk EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and sometimes floats in the tank and then the wave maker pushes it to the side ataches to a rock and the same thing every night. At day it always sits in spot does not move and is small so small i barely even see it and again as soon as my night time lights come on it starts doing its thing plus stinging other corals. How can i stop this i am so tired of it not planting its foot on a rock i have heard anemones taking about 4 days to find a spot but not a month! Is something wrong with it ? Please help. Some pictures before it started moving and after.

I had a bubble tip that did exactly this. It was perfectly fine and healthy looking, moved a few times and then settled. Then all of a sudden it started hiding under some rock structure, shrivelled up and just slowly vanished.

I have been looking for answers too but haven’t heard or read of anyone having this happen so I’m gonna tag along.

If it can't find a spot it likes after that long, I'd recommend changing things up a bit. Assuming the water quality is fine, then try adjusting flow and/or lighting a bit and see if that helps it settle.

Ya I am so confused. And lighting is not the issue I currently run 400w halides and Prime 52HD's.

The thing was doing awesome for several months, and then almost over night hid upside down under a rock cave, never came back out, shriveled and eventually over 1-2 months just withered away to nothing.

IME, BTA’s don’t like a lot of flow and like to be fed. Also, if you have recently changed anything on the system, they may move. They do not like algae growth at all... I had one BTA, that split into two more (before my tank crashed). I noticed when I came home to the crash, they were all across the top of the tank. They had not moved in a year of being in the same spots; only when I had the algae outbreak. Would bubble up whenever I fed them pieces of silversides.
Are there corals that maybe sting this particular one as well?
Has anything at all changed?
Is it starting to shrivel up more than usual?
Are you feeding anything more than mysis shrimp?

Didnt come to this forum long time! But Great news mine is atached to a rock bow and is feeling happy hasn't moved for a week. All i did was cut the pumps and put it in a cave-like structure and it worked somehow. Water quality is clean havn't had any algea outbrakes and also no coral was stinging it before. But thanks for the tip!

Heres a tip mine stoped going anywhere. Cut the pumps at night put it in a cave-like structure and after couple tries it will stop moving and stay put. Mine worked at the 7th try and i couldn't belive that it worked! You could try that. And thanks for coming along with this journey with my nem!
