A lot of people don't feed them at all.....I usually feed mine every 3 or 4 days with a small piece of shrimp or silverside (no larger than the disk).

I know I can be color blind, but I think yours is bleached. Did you just purchase?

As mentioned, no need to feed but a little Mysis won't hurt if you need to nurse it back to health.

I did just purchase it yesterday

Feed my carpets chopped up shrimp. The bta's get some sometimes not very often though. If you have a clown it will bring food to it if it's hosting it.
I just bought it 2 days ago so my clowns have not found it yet but that is the plan

I don't feed mine at all, they don't need it as long as water levels are up to par. I think I read somewhere that you can over feed them and stress them out.

Amemones have a very rudimentary digestive system. Try to avoid anything with bones, scales, etc; I have found over many years of keeping anemones, that scallops are the easiest for them to digest, fresh, raw scallops....yes, it's true that you don't NEED to feed an anemone, it is pretty fun and interesting. And they seem to respond positively to regular feedings.

I have 4 btas and a magnifica. They all get thawed out medium shrimp cut to size. Their growth has been off the charts.

Hmmm. Will they survive without being fed? Yes. But an animal with stinging tenticals, a mouth and an appetite eats. I feed my RBTA a piece of Krill each week.

I mean they made to eat.

When I had mine I would feed it small pieces of krill, cut up shrimp, scallops and clams. Anything soft and meaty in small amounts. It would also catch food from the tank and my clowns.

Not sure what that is but above is what I used to feed my BTA and i fed frozen food mostly to the fish mixed in with flakes, pellets and dried seaweed for the tang.
