BTAs love to move lol Itll settle and then maybe move again
Kessil a360x the new one I have been doing less lighting to try and acclimate my hammer so it has been on the lower side but he’s moving non stop before this …the zoas are reaching until I hit the higher intensity then they shrink back upWhat’s your lighting? May just be the picture but the nem looks a little faded. Zoas appear to be reaching to light as well.
Potentially, inadequate light is causing it to roam
they shouldn't shrink, just be stable and fully extended but not stretched, maybe a case of the light being too high and then too low?Kessil a360x the new one I have been doing less lighting to try and acclimate my hammer so it has been on the lower side but he’s moving non stop before this …the zoas are reaching until I hit the higher intensity then they shrink back up
if a big ones moving a tiny one will.I just don’t think he’s ever gonna settle and maybe I should get a tiny one I just feel bad for my clowns they love it
I thought maybe a tiny one would find a hole easier since they have smaller foots. I feel like this bta is perfectly healthy he just can’t find a spot to put his foot in so my hypothesis was maybe a smaller one I’d have a better chanceif a big ones moving a tiny one will.
That’s how they look when the lights higher any better or still stretching right? This freakin light cost me over 400 bucks lol what the heckthey shouldn't shrink, just be stable and fully extended but not stretched, maybe a case of the light being too high and then too low?
they really dont need that big a hole, they dont have bones and are super squishy, its not the fact its big, its the fact it is stressed most likelyI thought maybe a tiny one would find a hole easier since they have smaller foots. because you need to make a better lighting schedule or your params are bad, how old is tank, params and any param shifts? That’s how they look when the lights higher any better or still stretching right? This freakin light cost me over 400 bucks lol what the heck
Rocks look brand new. How old is the tank? What are your parameters? What is your lighting schedule?
I’ll post them later I have it written down I posted it on here everyone said it was fine just my ph is low 7.6 …tanks 3 months old please don’t say I needed to wait 6 months for a anemone bc even in my old 90 gallon I had put a bta in with my clowns the first week and it survived np I don’t believe he’s moving bc he’s unhappy with flow or lighting I Think he just wants a big hole to stick his foot into that I just can’t give him in this smaller tankbecause you need to make a better lighting schedule or your params are bad, how old is tank, params and any param shifts?

Go to the lfs lol and it’s 3 months oldHow old is your tank and do you test for cal-alk and mag?
But the nem has doubled in size since I got it the 2nd week in it opens up beautiful and still has its bubble tips I thought it was doing great :/Agreed with tank being too new, I have kept BTA’s for years and they never move for me because I make sure to wait until tank is stable… now they won’t stop multiplying…
Patience is always key in this hobby and if most people ask for tank age is because that’s usually the issue with nems when the tank is too new
Taking it out isn't necessary at this point. Getting your own accurate tests like salifert should be step 1. If parameters are in order and lighting is good you could try and add some mature rock to stabilize the system. What is your schedule and settings for the kessil? If I take it out I think my clowns will commit suicide
