Bubble forming in the sump

Ok I thought all the ones they make currently where different colors, Just going by your original pictures with all the foam and the angle that it was taken it appeared water level was way to high but Iooks like that’s the way it’s designed. With that in mind you could run your skimmer in the first section, you may need a stand for it as it appears it’s pretty deep.. I would check manufacturers recommendation.

Doing a little digging I found a better picture of levels..

Looks about right, and I will look at the recommendations, thank you for your help. I think the excess foaming might be the bacteria and will go away after my first water change

It’s been exactly one week already and still occurring.


It’s been about a week already and still occurring. Also it seems like water is flowing out of the filter sock and not flowing through it

I had this happen when I used new fibrous socks.
