Bubbles on rock help!!

The tank is 6months old. Idk Dino’s wouldn’t make a mat in such a new tank?

Age doesn't have an impact on whether dinos form a "mat" as part of their growth pattern.

You're going to get all types of algae growth as the tank matures... don't fight them, just try to keep them in check when they occur! Their presence is needed and part of the tank maturing.

This looks like you are getting a photosynthetic type algae to form a little. Just ride it out and see what it turns into.

If you are really concerned, buy a microscope and rule out dinos. I bought one just so i wasn't guessing what i had in my tank... helped me greatly.

Don't be afraid to take a turkey baster and blast away on the LR once in a while. The baster is a good friend to many of us.

@Randy Holmes-Farley any thoughts on this? I’m having bubbles forming on my rocks. They just come out of nowhere. They form and then rise to the top and pop and a little bit of dust comes out of the bubble. My sand used to have so many bubbles in it too. I have since removed the sand. The bubbles don’t form with the lights off. Only starts to happen about 1/2 hour after light cycle comes on. While i was taking the sand out it had an awful smell. Kinda like cyano. Any help would be amazing. I’m going insane over here lol
