thinking of going for the red sea max 260-E, what do you think ? do they run okay without a cabinet sump ?

a year later and the tank is on marketplace for this exact reason! now im kind of worried about where im putting my tank..

So true. My place gets a lot of southern and westen light, and I'm on the top floors.

I'm not familiar with that model, but if it's one that has the "sump" on the back of the tank, should work fine.
