building is *slow work*!

so, after much texting and cajoling i got a hostage video tonight. i’ll try to attach. the file, it’s not v good quality. my anemone has disappeared, so i guess it’s dead. the chromis, as best as i can see, look awfully thin. my yellow tang have really crammed themselves behind a filter. sigh. this is wearing on my last nerve! and i have no idea what i’ve done. trying to insert the vid. ugh - i’m going to BED.

The eventual floor to my stand. omg i miss my fishies!

and… the stand has a floor + there’s a nice slab of marine wood between the tank and the stand. things are actually beginning to happen - i hope i didn’t jinx anything by typing that!

RE: TRIDENT SYSTEM

I was planning on upgrading to Apex Trident from Neptune for this system and budgeted accordingly. My friend who’s doing all the physical stuff on this build for me is also the LFS owner, and out of 7 trident systems he knows of that ppl have put in recently, 4 have failed. now i’m unsure if i want to upgrade .

anyone else had trouble with the Apex Trident System?

plumbing being put in, hard to appreciate, but overflow is attached. (obvi most of it hangs on the back)

yes i deliberately chose blue pipes and grey fittings lol

no more saran wrap on the sump!

slowly but surely, the build continues

example of new supports! they’re all over the place, and the stand is so much the better for them, the black screws are only temporary and should be changed out early this week - fingers crossed for tomorrow! now the stand will actually hold the tank up, things *should* proceed more quickly. here’s hoping!!!
