so i have a friend who wants a custom frag tank made, and i said i would be up for the challenge! i got the glass cut and it siliconed in and just letting it dry overnight.

ill keep everyone updated on the progress!!

oh ya the demensions are 24" x 18" x 14".....26 gallons

we are going to drill the bottom and have a small stand pipe. this tank is going to be plumbed into the rest of the system....100 gallon display

also here is the fuge i made for him. it is a 55 gallon all glass tank with glass walls...not acrylic! the sock holder is acrylic. just finished it and hope to have it all done this weekend!

Did you allow enough space in the sump so when the power or pump goes out the water won't overfill your sump?

ya the level goes up 1.5" there is 2.5" to the top. this is what he wanted so i did it. i did tell him that it was going to be cutting it close, but he insisted on it being that tall.

Very Cool! How thick is the glass. Starfire?

no starfire and the glass is 1/2" thick.

OK so i turned it over and finished putting silicone on all the edges, corners, cracks, and crevices. it should be good by this weekend to water test!!!

you have definitely inspired me. totally going to try and build my own this summer.

Would it be any easier to drill before tank assembly? i dont quite trust myself drilling glass yet and i think i'd rather be heartbroken before i spent all that time assembling the tank

im glad i could help put it out there that it is not that hard and can be done in your garage. i thought about that after i put the tank together....it really was not that hard to drill it, just make sure the glass is not tempered. also this was my first time drilling glass!!!

ill have more pics up today after i get the other parts and pieces to finish!
