building my own tank....GLASS!!!

One suggestion on the sump. You should put the piece of acrylic that hold the filter socks 1" from the top in case the sock get clogged and overflows. This way water will not end up on the floor. We made this mistake in our sump and this happened... I see you put little hold but that will not stop the water from overflowing

Other than that, great job so far

Well i definitely have to say congrats on a job well done then.

And +1 on the gap for the filter sock. just got back from spring break and my sock was a hair line away from pouring water all over my floor.

i put 6 holes in it and the sock holder is about 1/4" lower then the top lip. i might make the holes a bit bigger....just in case!!

You are learning so much!
Excellent job on the glass drilling.
Always scary the first time.
But such a sense of accomplishment when it's done!

TANKSALOT

nice! so there was no bow even without corner bracing when full?
I know the 1/4" on my frag tank is fine with corner triangle bracing and but it is only 8" tall.
