Burnt sage have ill affects on aquariums?

Just wanted to know if burning sage in the same room as an aquarium would pose an issue to the aquarium? Thank you

Personally would not burn anything in same room as my tanks from the off anything burning would probably alter pH amongt other things

It is supposed to have anti microbial properties.

I would not use anything anywhere near a tank that is supposed to kill some things in an uncontrolled way like into the air. It may end up killing things you dont want it to.

That's how I lost my blue ribbon eel. Lysol in the air. No, it wasn't me.
I am sure any smoke or chemical will get onto the water surface. And with how well we circulate our tanks now, someone is going to come into contact with it.

A few years back I had a tank that was very close to my kitchen. Think it was either memorial day or Fourth of July and I boiled about 10 racks of ribs in beer which caused a lot of water vapor(beer vapor?) that must’ve been loaded with other things because it caused a huge bacterial bloom. I didn’t put two and two together I just fix the problem and about three or four months later boiled some ribs again and had the same problem. You have to be careful about anything you put into the atmosphere near the aquarium because it could cause an issue. I don’t know while you’re burning the sage but I guarantee you that just having an aquarium in that room should dispel any negative feelings. Who isn’t happy when they look at a reef aquarium (aside from our significant others)

Alright! It was just for smudging(incense thing) and was 10 feet at least away from the tank but ill definitely make sure not to burn anything near the tank. Aswell it was for only 30 seconds

Guess the alcohol vapor got in the tank (skimmer airintake), so you were carbondosing without knowing it.
