Agree, match the temp and salinity and dump! Some places keep salinity low, like 1.015.

+1 thisIf it were me, I would just set my QT to 1.020 and have my father just float for 10minutes, then dump in. Easiest thing for him to do, and the fish can handle a large drop in salinity better then a large increase.
So do I and had same experience except I was able to pick mine up that night when the driver returned and the box was leaking. Never took that chance again with the last 6 shipments and guarantee I have it in my hands by 10. Just received a fish about 8 weeks ago during the major COVID lockdown here on MI.I paid for priority posting it should of been the first delivery seeing as the depot is 1 mile from me![]()
UPSWho’s the shipping company?
Im from the UK seems a little impossible nowi asked you for the shipping company because I wanted to help you get your package, because I work for a major shipping company. If you live on the east coast it could be too late.
Oh and them telling you they are closed could most likely change
Yeah, I thought you were in the USA.Im from the UK seems a little impossible now

If this happens again send me a private message. I will try to help youLooks like the rest is in Gods hands

Red in tail most likely ammonia burn from ammonia build up in bag. They should be ok.Guys the fish arrived 3 hours ago so angry how can it come that late!!! My dad sorted them out with temperature acclimation and made the quarantine tank the same salinity and put the fish in. He said the fish at first looked horrible the yellow tang barely moving. Blue tang has some sort of red stains/marks on its tail? The foxface was all brown and breathing really heavy. I’ve just got home from work and had a look yellow tang looks the best condition breathing normally just hiding in a cave, blue tang swimming around but breathing fast and still has some red stains on its tail? Foxface has gained some colour but still not fully and is also breathing fast.
p.s All the fish are eating currently
Any advise?

Just curious how your fish are doing?Last question being in bags that long I’m sure they were under a lot of stress, if they were to have a disease like ich would they have it on them? I don’t see any signs of ich at all in any fish, is it still worth treating with copper for 2 weeks then watching for another 2 weeks before I put them in the display?
