Buying SPS: Best places with lower shipping

I like Aqua SD. They seem to have the best prices IMO. But you always gotta spend 40 on shipping... they have always sent a free frag with my orders.

No slight to any of those mentioned so far -- But right now, the problem is finding bad vendors.

I have heard nothing but great things about boom corals and I’m sure I’ll do an order from him at some point. I usually go with the small guys for specific high end pieces but it’s crazy how many of these posts I see on here and no one ever says anything about liveaquaria divers den. I live in Alaska and they ship here for a 20.00 Alaska fee. I normally order enough to get free shipping, I think it’s over 149.00 is free shipping. The nice thing is they don’t photoshop their pics or use crazy filters. What I receive looks better than the pics. Any they have huge colonies some times. Great no questions asked doa policy. These are a couple colonies I’ve got that were under 125.00

The part that deters people from really buying here is for the most part they are wild caught Colonies. They can be more challenging to keep in captivity than an aquacultured piece.

My number 1 online vendor is @FraghouseCorals They have great corals at cheap prices.
When you catch their live sale on here you can get corals for an outright steal.
A couple other vendor I will buy corals at is @WWC and @jason Fox
I am very very very picky about where I get my corals from these days, as I do not keep a QT for corals, but only fish.
Its so hard for me to keep up with multiple tanks without neglecting one...or both.

I use two vendors and have never looked back although one is not a store front, check out BIG E on our board. Prices are good and quality is sick. He’s a great guy imo. Ole schoole reefer who understands his corals.

I also use Adam at Battlecorals, the battle box is an amazing treat. Very spot on picks for me and my tank. Another reefer who tends to his customers and seems to ‘give back’ to us here at R2R. Check out the Grow-OutContest happening soon. Another Ole Scholle reefer who understands his animals.

Both will talk with you over the care and maintence of your tank and animals.

I have not used Boom corals yet, but may check them out. Although between Big E and Adam I think they got me covered well.

Battlecorals and WWC (auctions or live sales only) are my favorites for acropora.

Battlecorals- best customer service in the biz in my opinion. Great guy, awesome corals, big frags, and great value, especially when you get a battlebox. He also has a very strict QT protocol and I never find anything/even worry about pests which is nice. Same with WWC.

WWC's prices are too high on their website imo but you can get great deals on ebay and live sales. Their acros all stay colored up and grow really well for me, although my tanks parameters are pretty similar to theirs. 2nd best customer service imo.

I haven't tried boomcorals but have heard good things, it'd be hard for me not to use battlecorals or WWC though. I use both because they each have stuff the other doesnt and sometimes I want some something besides acros which WWC has a lot of.
