Cade Chaos Grimoire

Spent some time rescuing this guy today. The engineer goby likes to push it over on its side and then between him and the pistol shrimp they bury half of it & kill off the buried GSP. Every few months I dig it back up, stand it back up, and it gets covered again.

New container came in! No more fat jug taking up all my sump space.

Unfortunately now that the big opaque jug is no longer in there you can see my wire nest....

Oops

I might have some new corals coming tomorrow too ;)

Couple newbies settling in.

Also, sad news. Caught my filefish nipping at zoas & RFAs today

It was fun while it lasted sweetie, but you gotta go...

An elegance and acan? What type of zoa
Elegance and cynarina. Lemon lovers zoa. Actually the elegance was a replacement for an indo colony of zoas that wasn't looking very good when they went to ship it.

I didn't know they did that
I got rid of one in the past that was nipping them pretty much immediately. This one's been in my tank for awhile with no issues. I'm wondering if the knockout of my armor of gods was actually this guy being sneaky...

Gotta give the corals.com team serious props for calling me though and being like *hey this coral sucks now, I don't want to ship it to you because it's crappy, pick something else please or we'll refund, either way*

Will definitely order from them again.

Easy visual enrichment, they don't take up valuable real-estate for anything else you're likely to be adding and they add great depth to the tank.

ALSO, saw your comment on another thread about mangroves - coincidentally my neighbor's kid brought me home handfuls from the beach in August and after popping them in QT for a bit they've been sprouting in my sump. You really want some I can probably arrange mailing some up there. I only kept a few of them from the handfuls of pods he brought me, but they're super easy to obtain around here.
Do you mind sharing a picture id love to see the sump setup with them

Hah, yeah I'll get you a photo in a bit. It's also a mess of sea lettuce in there so it's not *pretty* but doing it's job for sure.

Like I said, not pretty. I believe there are 5 or 6 in here, I'm about to cut it to 2 or 3 and send the rest to @Frigus Reef .

I had to turn the reds off to even get a photo & it's time to cull the ulva again (way easier than chaeto). It may be time to scrape coralline algae again as well lol

The one in the front is my fav, it actually completely bends at nearly 90°
