set a "closing date" on the tank.
like the week before your move out date.
then you could have the new one all set up to move everything in to.
can't imagine what livestock replacement cost (on stuff we cant frag for you) will be by then.

I'm fragging anything too big that I want to keep. Many things I can honestly live without, tastes change.

The issue with holding it too long like that is selling it fast enough to have it out of this house. We don't want to hold on to it too long - it's either being sold or rented asap.

Do you know someone that can hold your corals for you? Replacing them would probably be expensive.

Some of it will be, but since I'm moving to a smaller tank in the interim it won't be too bad. I can frag the huge leathers down. All the meats & various lps I'm keeping can come right over, etc.

This gives me a chance to filter through and sell off anything I thought I wanted but as it grew decided was a nuisance. Or I don't like as much grown out. Or causes drama with other corals. Etc etc

Fish are the one thing I'm not too fussed about to be honest.

I'm keeping the marine betta & both varieties of dusky wrasse for sure. My hawks, file, bicolor blenny, and royal gramma.

The clowns infuriate me to no end. The engineer is a brat. The canary & melanurus are easy to replace if I decide I want them again. The tangs were never going to be long term - they'd even out grow the peninsula I believe. I forget the pajama cardinals are even in there most of the time. The lantern is turning into a jerk as it gets older. I also forget about the two damsels most of the time.

I used the old 13led ai prime to light my old 60g cube. Plenty of light for lps and I grew some easier sps at the top like bonsai and birdsnest

So unbelievably angry this morning. This engineer Goby has to go sooner rather than later. He toppled a rock onto one of my acanthos overnight and pinned it so it couldn't if inflate and get all of the sand off of it as well & killed it.

I'm so angry.

Right? Grrr. He's been screwing around in that area lately so I've been checking it consistently and moving them away from his cave. He burrowed under one of the rocks even more and knocked it over into the one & then buried it for good measure. It was fine last night and not under anything. Not a single piece of flesh still attached this morning when I got up saw it was missing and dug it up. I'm over this fish. Never again.

I will stick with fighting conchs & sand sifting stars.

I don't even keep a pic on my laptop of the rainbow trachy I lost due to the engineer goby a few years back, partly my fault as I didn't notice what was going on with the stem flesh, most expensive coral I ever bought but losing the animal due to my lack of knowledge still hurts today, good luck getting it out.
