Just got home from an incredibly frustrating drive to and from my appt. Plus non-stop delays throughout. I don't think I have it in me to battle the engineer today. Moved both other acanthos as far from his cave as I can without upsetting them with too much par change.

Today was exhausting. Up at 6 to drive up to the interior design place to pick out floors/paint/counters/cabinets/shingles/etc for the new house - which permits haven't even been approved from the county on yet Then back home and straight to work until 10pm.

Of course, I'm wired by this point and can't sleep

Feels way too early. But I know w/ the way the supply chain is right now that's why they're setting it up so early. We had to pick 3 different shingles and we get whichever they can order first lol

This is the way , finding anything right now is a hard task especialy with wood

Well we'd have more supply of wood if we didn't ship everything overseas. I live in Idaho, where you see more logging trucks than regular cars, there's a mill literally in every town. Unfortunately I've been told directly from the horses mouth that the majority of products get sold overseas. Even our hay for cows/horses/livestock gets sold overseas. I used to live next door to a farmer who would sell his AMAZING quality hay to Japan for 3x what he's getting local.
And with wood it's the same. I now live next door to a logger and the story is the same. There is no shortage of wood, The mills want the most money and foreigners will pay more than we will so off it goes. I can walk in our local bulding supply and find no lumber to buy or pay thier outrageous prices on what's left. Even though they cut and mill the trees practically in front of me.

I hope you have luck when it comes time for builders to source your lumber!
