Nice. I have quite a few of those that I snag when I collect. I then take them and put the zoas I collect on them when in the Coral QT tank. Makes it easy to place them in the other tanks and give depth to the zoas lol.

Still waiting on a pumice rock & 2 more varieties of the plant.

Here's the start of my pinguicula garden. One is actually about to flower.

Most of them are either coming out of dormancy or are stressed from shipping so currently aren't sticky like they should be. Luckily they turn more succulent-y when they're dormant anyway so it's not life threatening.

I can feed them with fish food, bugs, or a very specific fertilizer.

I'm mostly excited to sacrifice bugs to them once they're sticky again.

He finally decided we're back for him & laid down comfortably instead of following us and staring non-stop. Having lunch at my parents then loading him up to head to our home.

Update on the corals from the late delivery right before vacation:

These guys looked good right from the bag, nothing went wrong.

Lefty colored back up a lot while I was gone. That green looks brighter as well in the right one, camera didn't pick it up well.

Head that was open before I left looks great, looks like 95% of the right head which looked questionable bailed. It's been a week and there's still a couple polyps though.

ATO bone dry on the big tank, oops. Refilling now, don't think it dropped enough to swing salinity too much, afraid to test.

Roller ran out last night around 2am and woke me up. Only lasted 2 weeks, about half the usual time frame. Not sure what shenanigans the tank got into while I was out....

OF COURSE I don't have a spare on hand. Socks for a couple days.

Will test alk later and get the new doser set up hopefully. Maybe even start plumbing the cube.

Looks like a swing style check valve. Needs to be installed straight up and down and the flapper should site on the “down” side. Like the rerun pump pushes it “up” and when the return shuts off, the flapper falls down.

I do use these types of check valves and they do work to prevent back flow, but if near light, they will need cleaning from time to time. If not, they will get some algae on them that stops it making a good seal. With that said, always make sure you room for flow back with that not installed. Don’t want a flood.

The other stuff looks like a frame for a diy screen cover.

Yeah it's got an arrow showing which way it goes & judging by others videos with it, goes in the return line. Pretty cool addition, the 1200 doesn't have it and when I cut the return I get a *lot* of backflow into the sump.

The screen pieces I 100% agree, except the tank comes with one already? And it's a *lot* of corner pieces & crazy zigzags so I'm not sure what to do with them unless it's to modify and create my own feed hole?

Yup. Goes in between return pump and return outlets. They are nice, but just be sure to keep it clean. Do not use vinegar to clean it. Use a little h2o2 not diluted and a yeti cup straw brush. Works great.

75% done with assembly. Still need to plumb in the UV sterilizer.
