So, Matt's question is can we cut from the first manifold line into to uv sterilizer, then return it into the 2nd manifold line there instead of back into a chamber so it goes back up into display? I feel like there's a reason that can't happen but my brain isn't picking it up to tell him

Nope. Those outlets will have head pressure from all of the piping above and once the air is out of the uv, it will just be stagnant water in the uv.

Just soft line it all with black hose and mount uv where the end can be taken off easily and you end up with the least amount of hose possible.

But if I end up needing to add a chiller, those would both work for that purpose? That's what they're "technically" for

Correct. Just remember, the more you add the more you will reduce flow to the dt. This is easy to fix via a larger pump, but you should be fine with your pump, as it flows quite a bit for your tank size at 100% even with head pressure figured in.

You won’t need a pump upgrade. I just looked up the 6.0. It will be plenty with room to spare for a uv, chiller and even a carbon reactor before either of those lol.

I meant the need for a chiller lol, hoping to avoid that.

Most likely erectus to start, I know there are some successful erectus/reidi hybrids out there and they're a little easier than reidi on their own.

Probably do some pipefish as well. No idea what type for that yet.

Let me know when you decide to get ponies and pipes. Very good friend of mine raises them both. They are also used to normal reef tank temps and eat frozen before he lets go to their forever homes.

Sumps aren't that bad. They seem more difficult then they are.

Rant time: Walking Skeletor this morning and I pass these 3 women loudly throwing a fit because a man didn't acknowledge them when they said hello. To the point that I heard one of them say "I know he had earbuds in, but he could have at least waved."

Excuse me? Get over yourselves, no one is obligated to say hello to you in the morning, especially when they're trying to mind their own business and walk their dog. He probably didn't hear you, on account of the earbuds you obviously saw.

What is it with people in this neighborhood? Leave everyone else alone, we're not all out there for morning social hour. I can't wait until we move.
