Cade Chaos Grimoire

Rant time: Walking Skeletor this morning and I pass these 3 women loudly throwing a fit because a man didn't acknowledge them when they said hello. To the point that I heard one of them say "I know he had earbuds in, but he could have at least waved."

Excuse me? Get over yourselves, no one is obligated to say hello to you in the morning, especially when they're trying to mind their own business and walk their dog. He probably didn't hear you, on account of the earbuds you obviously saw.

What is it with people in this neighborhood? Leave everyone else alone, we're not all out there for morning social hour. I can't wait until we move.
It aint just that neighborhood. We got women yelling, for anyone to talk to them. You can't go to the gas station without someone trying to have a conversation.

I do hope your new location is better. You do have them one neighbors though.

New location is 1.6 acres, I can just walk him on the property and not see other people. That's immediately a win.

People are like that everywhere. But I must say this surprises me about Florida. Growing up there, I thought it was the social norm to not acknowledge other peoples existence while walking either through a neighborhood or the grocery store, even if they clip your heel with their cart :face-with-rolling-eyes:. I went through a culture shock when I moved to Indiana and strangers felt the need to tell me their life story and chat it up. As an introvert, this made me very uncomfortable lol

Some people are just unhappy and will find a reason to complain about anything. :face-with-rolling-eyes:

Those women are the bane of my existence. It’s like the ones when you go to the grocery store for two things and they ask for your entire biography at the checkout line. Like dude I’m just trying to buy my creamsicles and go.

Cut to me: complaining about having to interact with humans, ever. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Yes I'm unhappy, I hate peopling in real-time, it makes me miserable. Especially in the morning. I have to fake it literally all day long for work, I don't want to in my off time while I'm trying to get my dog to poop. :loudly-crying-face:

Oh my gosh bruh I totally get it. I grew up in Florida and moved back to Georgia and here people acknowledge each other and you’re expected to speak to them, if you
Don’t say ‘howdy’ and ask how their momma is then you’re terrible.. :face-with-tears-of-joy:
I also learned that you could be mean by being nice. It was such a shock and my first year here was so difficult and I was constantly “I friggin’ hate this and I want to go home.”

This is why I hate shopping. If I go by myself, this happens. As long as I am with my husband, I get left alone. I don't know what it is about him. But, he's lived in Illinois his whole life, so I guess he knows what it takes to get people to back off.

On a worse note, our panhandlers are getting more aggressive. It's become illegal and now some are hitting passing cars.

You poor guys, never get a break. Having to fill out a resume everywhere you go.

:smiling-face: that comment wasn’t intended to be directed at you! I also hate people in real time.
I have to fake it at work..people are always surprised after we have chatted for a minute when I explain I’m introvert. They always looked shocked and say, you could have fooled me. To with I say, “yeah I’m going to need a nap after this conversation”

I’m also one of those people that get awkward about it when people talk to me. Like I’ll want to say “good luck” or “take care” and I’ll mix up the two and say something stupid like “take luck” and then just walk away :face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy:

How is everyone doing today?
Good I hope. Hope your family is doing well also.
The weather today is gonna be a rough one.
Them dang'd ole weather folks say mighty hot.
What you think about that?
..........

I agree. So how long you been in these parts?
...........
Well that ain't very long.

Nice talking to ya.

I am sort of one of those people that you do not like. But I only chat it up with people I know.

In a check out line, when someone goes to speak to me, I point at my ears and then do a little sign language. They stop talking lol. Trick is to not do this until you look at them for some reason outside of them talking. Let them say a few words. Look up, then let them say a few more while you can see their lips move, be a bit delayed and then do that lol.

Works every time.

I feel this in my bones. Or I mumble something out that isn't even words.
Introverts unite!!!

For me it helps to look like a horrible potato, then no one tries to talk to you, lol
It doesn't work for me, been trying for years

For me it goes like some old lady gets in line behind me...

"Oh is that a classman ring!? Where do you go? Bremen?" I look at my classman ring that says 'BREMEN HIGH SCHOOL' I'm also in a store... in Bremen... and I'm wearing a Bremen shirt... "Oh my! I went to Bremen!" lmbo yeah everyone does, that's the funny thing about townships, we all go to the same school. "I loved it." well my experience wasn't so peechy keen. "When are you graduating?" I just did. "What are you going to do?" Funeral Service. *she grimaces and gives this very toothy fake gator smile* "Ohhh" *looks very uncomfortable* "How interesting"

Someone has to deal with the dead people. I think was just like, "ohh crap, this kid is going to be the one to bury me and I am talking to him right now." More of a sense of reality than what your profession is lol.

I like to wear all black and keep my airpods in and just flaunt my RBF and that helps. I also play angry surf punk music loud enough to where people close by can hear the yelling through the airpods

I can talk to anyone at anytime. I one of those people who like to be in a group of people. Yesterday I was with a a couple of customers. They where talking about maddox sweet corn but nobody knew where to get it .

Next door neighbor pops out and the group said he would know but nobody wanted to ask. I just yelled hey do you know where we can buy Maddox sweet corn. Than the conversation started.
