Well after watching the power lines arching continuously and big blue explosions of light every 10 seconds, my electricity finally went out. I got both systems down to 450 watts. That's a return pump,skimmer, and circulation pumps for both systems(500g total). The batteries will carry that into tomorrow afternoon then it's generator time. I'm hopeful they can repair the grid quickly, I still see lights in the distance

We've flickered out a few times but are still holding on. Have heard a number of transformers blow. Lost one small tree within view. It's still insanely windy, not showing any signs of slowing down.

It's been pouring since noon. Raining in general since 2am. Crazy wind, still have power. With where we're located it'll be a long night before we're clear of the worst of the wind apparently. But less of a tornado risk here at least.

The battery backup has run 800w for 18hrs last time and it just had its batteries refreshed. The skimmers can't be more than 30-40w. I'll get the generator out in the morning. I just decided that I get to use a 10w lamp, that way the candles don't accelerate ph decreasd... ill try to get the music back up and finish this cup
