Gotta go to the old house to take pictures of things because the inspector was dumb. Said the water cut off was broken and missing the handle (handle is in the house) said the front porch light was non functional (it's motion sensing and has a bulb in it to not turn on in daytime), said the living room light doesn't work with the switch and there's no remote (remote is with the water cut off knob).

So, pictures of the things working or the knob/remote is suitable.

So, pictures of the things working or the knob/remote is suitable.

Inspections are a huge headache when you're selling. When I sold my house we had to have a county inspection first so that the house could be issued an occupancy permit... so me living in the house for 11 years doesn't qualify as fit for occupancy? Then the buyers inspection was so freaking nit picky. We got nailed for stupid things too like not having 'GFCI' stickers on GFCI outlets... um what?

Well I guess we're lucky it wasn't that bad then lol.

Only thing we actually need to "fix" is putting some spliced wires in the attic that we didn't even know about into a junction box & switching an unused breaker out to a different kind.

I had to glue the cap on one of th block wall pillars because it was loose... And the lightbulb in the oven was burned out and needed to be replaced.

I bought a house with no inspection and it's almost 100 years old and it's terrible. We knew we were doing renovations but it's way more than it looked on the surface. It's been an expensive experience.

To be fair, the property was sold as a commercial/residential zoned and had a 40x100' shop/garage fully concrete and wired. The house next to it was "free" and was rented out by the owner for additional income. We certainly bought for the commercial location and garage because that means instant work for my husband. And I'm an idiot and thought it's not so bad, we got this.
