Fish just arrived. Well outside the "by 12pm" window. But like I said, weather is good today.
Both look good so far. Temperature acclimating while I move the nudis into the MCT.
Filefish is extra small as requested. Dusky is a nice size so I don't think I'll need to keep him in the box for long, if at all.

Not a great photo, still wary of me so I can only take from a distance. I opted out of the box yesterday due to size - thought the box would be more stressful. He/she automatically dove for the sand and slept the day away. Out this morning swimming with the crew, no signs of aggression from anyone. Ate with zero issues when I supplied food to the whole tank. Swimming around investigating now - seems to really like the scopas.
No photos of the filefish, it's doing fine as well - the tank never glances twice when I add one of them. Also came out to eat a little and so far no nipping anything appropriate or inappropriate.

Thanks. I know everyone typically loves the flashers and in comparison duskys seem kinda dull if you're looking for obvious color.
These are one of the two wrasse I've wanted from the beginning and I'm so excited to finally have one. Especially since the likelihood of getting an Anampses neoguinaicus is extremely low

And he's up and looks good this morning. Last one up, first one to bed. Lazy dusky. I feel confident I don't need to worry anymore, zero signs of nipping or anything like that. Ate again today, nice plump belly.
In other news: I'm super behind this year
Tonight I start the prep work for my baking so I can get it all finished by Sunday to take in for my team on Monday.
Had another call with the team I'm hoping to join in Feb. They're still not sure if the board is leaning one way or another with the request to add a head to the team. Just know they'll have an answer the end of the fiscal year (end of Jan for us). Apparently the CEO is suddenly taking interest and realized how far behind they are from the Covid restrictions. They're hoping his sudden interest means there will be approval & maybe more than one additional head - but we'll see.
Not sure what my course of action will be if that doesn't pan out. Do know that I can't stay in the stores like this for much longer. It's killing me.
