calcium reactor setup ideas?

No problem this thread has things that I've learned that will help me in this hobbie. Once you get the massive overdose of info it's easier to see the connecting points and believe me then its easy to set one up. Post pics with your end results I'd love to see it.

Molarity is the number of moles of solute dissolved in one liter of solution. I guess whatever acid i would obtain would have to be the same molarity as your acid to use the 100ml of tank water and math you used to determine alkalinity. If my acid is a higher molarity then it well take less Milliliters to get the ph to read 4.2. this in turn will make my calculation incorrect...I must compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges if I use that formula to determine alkalinity...chemistry was my favorite subject in school. I can change the molarity of the acid I buy to whatever yours is for that equation, I just need to know the molarity

My ca reactor is up and running I will be putting on a neptune systems apex to controll it thursday and I will post some pics.

I bought what I linked

Sulfuric Acid, 0.1N (0.05M)

So if you use that, it is apples to apples. I went to the sales counter and said "I would like 1 gallon of point one N sulfuric acid"

Hope that helps

sure does...For an acid N is used to show the concentration of protons in solution. Normality (N) = equivalents/liters

in this case I believe the normality is .1 and the molarity is half that being .05
